This policy describes what the Asgard Client launcher, the Asgard Client mod for Minecraft: Java Edition and this website do with your data. The short version: your Minecraft sign-in stays on your own PC, the only thing that ever leaves your PC is your Minecraft UUID and username for the Asgard badge, and there are no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
1. Signing in with Microsoft
The launcher signs you in with Microsoft's official OAuth flow, using the scope XboxLive.signin. The Minecraft access token that results from this sign-in is used only on your own PC, to start the game with your account. Tokens are never sent to Asgard servers.
To keep you signed in, the launcher stores the refresh token locally on your PC, encrypted with Windows data protection (DPAPI). It is only readable by your Windows user account on that PC. Signing out removes it.
2. The Asgard badge service
Asgard shows a badge next to the names of other players who use Asgard. To make that work, the client sends your Minecraft UUID and username to the Asgard badge service (asgard-network.asgard-network.workers.dev, running on Cloudflare) while you play. This data is used only to show the badge to other Asgard players.
- It is kept in memory only and is forgotten after 3 minutes without activity.
- Nothing is stored in a database.
- You can turn this off in game: Asgard Badge → "Let Others See I Use Asgard". With that setting off, nothing is sent.
3. Server status and Discord
The server status and player counts shown in the launcher and in the server browser are fetched directly from the Minecraft servers themselves, the same way the Minecraft multiplayer screen does. Discord Rich Presence talks only to the Discord app on your own PC; Asgard does not contact Discord's servers.
4. This website
This website is static. It uses no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies. Fonts and images are served from this site itself; no third-party scripts are loaded.
5. What we do not do
- We do not sell, share or rent your data to anyone.
- We do not collect chat messages, screenshots, keystrokes or anything you type in game.
- We do not run analytics or tracking in the launcher, the client or the website.
